Introduction
Distiller’s grain is the waste product produced during the brewing process in a brewery. It is rich in nutrients such as protein, fiber, and trace elements, so it is often used as a high-quality animal feed ingredient.
The spent grain dryer can quickly pre-dehydrate wet brewer’s grains with a moisture content of around 85% to 60%, and then dry them to around 12%. The spent grain dryer can be connected to grinding machine and packaging machine for further processing. At present, this drying equipment has been put into use in multiple beer and feed processing enterprises, and has created considerable economic benefits.
Advantages

2. Compared with single drum dryer, the three drum distiller’s grains dryer reduces land occupation by about 50% and civil construction investment by about 50%. The thermal efficiency of the cylinder can reach over 70%.
3. Special dispersing and lifting device is equipped inside the cylinder, which can effectively prevent materials from sticking to the wall and burning.
4. Using variable frequency speed regulation to control the material flow, the final moisture requirements can be easily adjusted according to user needs.
5. The efficient combination of new heat source heating structure and dust removal system achieves environmental protection and energy conservation in spent grain drying.
System
The spent grain dryer mainly consists of heat source, feeder, dryer host, induced draft fan, discharge device, and power distribution cabinet. After dehydration, the wet distiller’s grains enter the dryer and are evenly dispersed in the dryer under the rotation of the evenly distributed boards in the drum, fully in contact with hot air. During the drying process, under the action of the inclined lifting plate and hot air, the spent grain is discharged to the unloader at the other end of the dryer.
